What is Cholesterol? Is that good or bad?

 


1. LDL cholesterol:

This type of cholesterol has adhesion ability and easily adheres to the inner wall of the veins, which causing narrowing and eventually blockage of the veins. That’s why it’s known as bad cholesterol.

2. VLDL cholesterol:

This type of cholesterol carries fatty molecules from the liver to other parts of the body and turns into LDL cholesterol after transferring fat into tissues.

3. HDL cholesterol:

This type of cholesterol finds LDL cholesterol along the internal wall of the veins and adheres to them, cleanses them from the walls of the veins and prevents narrowing and blockage of the veins. That’s why it’s called good cholesterol.
